Let's go to the National Hispanic Cultural Center on Wednesday, July 22 to have lunch and tour the Art Museum! One of the exhibits is Nuclear Past, Present, and Future: Art in Action. It is a collaboration between the Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium and the NHCC Art Museum. The project examines the impact of nuclear technologies, their devastating human and environmental toll, and the artistic expression and activism of community members advocating for justice.

By going on a Wednesday, we will take advantage of the museum's free day for New Mexico residents over the age of 60 -- what a deal! We'll have lunch at the on-site cafe, La Fonda, at 12:30 and then tour the nuclear exhibit and other areas of the museum until the doors close at 4:00.

Please sign up on our website so I'll know the number of seats to reserve at the cafe for lunch. Being with friends in a cool place on a July afternoon while enjoying a local and regional treasure has much to recommend it!
