  • Friday, June 05, 2026
  • 4:00 PM
  • 3405 Central Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM

Hosted by member Marjorie Churgin, Deepfaking Sam Altman is an especially timely film, given the interest in artificial intelligence and the OpenAI CEO. Let’s meet at the box office at 3:40 pm (first-come, first-served), and we can sit together.

Buy your ticket online for $7.18 or at the box office. If you like, join Marjorie next door at IL Vicino at 3 pm for a drink. Her Movie and Entertainment Meetup group will also be attending.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS

When Los Angeles filmmaker Adam Bhala Lough fails to land an interview with the elusive Sam Altman, he travels to India to deepfake the tech CEO, only to create a glitchy LLM “Sam Bot” that moves into his home, befriends his son and begins co-directing the movie. As Sam Bot grows more lifelike, Adam is forced to decide whether to delete the AI he accidentally brought to life, and the film becomes a sharp, surprisingly moving exploration of how humans navigate the chaotic new world of artificial intelligence.

“A globe-trotting, thought-provoking, utterly surreal exploration.” – Rolling Stone
