HUMANIST SPEAKER SERIES: Dr. Antonio Gonzales

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: 

Antonio Gonzales, deputy superintendent of operations of Albuquerque Public Schools (APS), will talk about APS and the future of public education.

Dr. Gonzales oversees operations at APS, which includes information technology, the capital master plan, capital construction, food and nutrition, transportation, nursing services, school police, facilities, athletics and activities, and KANW.

A career educator with experience spanning teaching, school leadership, and Cabinet-level roles, Dr. Gonzales previously served as Deputy Superintendent for Leadership and Learning, Chief Academic Officer, Associate Superintendent, and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. Antonio Gonzales graduated with distinction from the University of New Mexico with his doctorate in teacher education, educational leadership, and policy. He also holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees from UNM.
