HIKING IN PETROGLYPH NATIONAL MONUMENT

  • Tuesday, February 25, 2025
  • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

We'll meet at the Rinconada Canyon Trailhead located at intersection of Unser Blvd NW at St. Joseph Ave.

The 2.1 mile loop runs along the base of the mesa, where we'll see many of the petroglyphs for which the park is named. There are several points along the trail that provide beautiful views of the canyon, Sandia Peak and Albuquerque. The trail is well maintained. There are some moderate hills, and some sandy areas.

As always, come prepared with good hiking shoes, water and snacks, sunscreen, hat and attire appropriate to the weather. There's a pit toilet at the parking lot.
